About WoodCraft Corner

WoodCraft Corner is an independent woodworking reference: practical guides, project plans, workshop calculators and a wood species database for hobbyists and small-shop makers.

Who writes the guides

Our guides are produced by the WoodCraft Corner editorial team. We are a small independent publisher, not a single celebrity craftsman, and we would rather tell you that than invent one.

Every guide is built from established sources: manufacturer manuals and specifications, published safety guidance from bodies such as OSHA and NIOSH, standard wood science references, and long-standing woodworking practice. We use software, including AI tools, to help research, draft and organise our guides. We update guides when sources change or when readers tell us something is wrong.

How we recommend products

We do not hands-on test every product we mention. Our recommendations are research-based: we compare specifications, manufacturer documentation, prices and recurring patterns in owner feedback, then explain who a product suits and what to watch out for. If a page ever describes hands-on use, it will say so clearly. How we choose products explains the process in full.
